This ratchet is a nice compact way to create a large light display while you dance. The ratchet utilizes a foot-long soft tube that contains blue LEDs, ending in a 1 1/2" diameter soft ball that has built-in multicolor LEDs that strobe when the ratchet is twirled.
This ratchet uses a shorter, thicker handle than some others (about the same size as a typical felt marker), making it both less prone to breakage and easier to stuff into a pocket. This item comes in assorted solid plastic handle colors (sorry, no individual choice of color). Another advantage of this ratchet over others is that it uses 3 AAA batteries (not included), rather than button-cell batteries, so it is easier for most users to change the batteries.
Please note: the packaging for this item indicates a music function that plays automatically along with the lights. The version we sell does NOT have the music (a baby's lullaby tune), as we had the manufacturer disable it since we felt most of our customers would not want that function.
